JasonA is the author of a MISTer FGPA core supporting the Amstrad CPC+ and the GX4000 console since the start of May 2025. There is already an Amstrad CPC old core.

ESPectrum is a ZX Spectrum emulator for the boards Ilygo TTGo VGA32 and Olimex ESP32-SBC-FabGL. There is now also an Amstrad CPC emulator named CPCESP, with a 3D printed packaging by Jose Lopez (other photos). CPCESP v0.85 is available on Github. You can also find CPCESP on :

All the Amstrad CPC games created for the CPCRetroDev contest from 2013 to 2023 are available locally on Genesis8bit. Thanks to Asertus for the source of the file (857 Mb).

RetroVirtualMachine v2.1.20 by Juan Carlos González Amestoy is available since the 14th June. It's an Amstrad CPC emulator (also ZX Spectrum, MSX-1, SG-1000 and Sega Master System) for MacOS, Windows and Linux (including Raspberry PI).

Doña Elisa de Avalón by Carlos M. Aguirre is a text adventure game for Amstrad PCW, MS-DOS (CGA/EGA/VGA), Amiga, Atari ST, and ZX Spectrum.

In the time of King Arthur, Doña Elisa de Avalón was kidnapped by a sorcerer. She must escape before dire fate happens to her.

PhrozenC v1.0 is a K&R C compiler (Dennis Ritchie and Brian Kernighan, it's not ANSI C) for Amstrad CPC and PC by NoRecess. On PC it compiles a .C file in .ASM ready to compile with WinAPE. On CPC the .ASM file can be compiled with Maxam.

The source code of PhrozenC is available on Bitbucket.

For Amstrad CPC it exists a ROM version (prefer this version), a 64 Kb version (stand-alone application) and 128 Ko version (RSX).

PhrozenC is released with a PDF manual covering all the things you have to know about to start programming using PhrozenC.

There is even a small tutorial about learning C for the newcomers. Example sources are available, as also a small set of library files handling file management, graphics, memory management, string concatenation, etc...

Check the haThus's Twitter account as he is working on a new Amstrad CPC platforme game : Ozzo C47 Explorer since at least November 2024.

HaThus is the author of another platform game Nita released in 2023 for the CPCRetroDev contest in mode 1, and a new version in mode 0 in 2024 which I invite you to play.

Inufuto is a japanese who write many games, each time for several platforms including Amstrad CPC. He wrote initally Battlot in 2022, this year he is releasing a new version of Battlot for Amstrad CPC+ with hardware sprites. You will find there the Youtube channel of Inufuto. The goal of the game is to find the exit of the labyrinth, there are monsters on the way so find a knife and throw it to kill them and be able to exit safely.

Turrican est un jeu de plate-forme pour Amstrad CPC sorti en 1990, édité by Rainbow Arts.

Jean-marie has modified Turrican to use 128 Kb, which permits to add music form the Atari ST game, and more. This second version should be the last.

SugarDS v1.0 is an Amstrad CPC emulator for Nintendo DS and DSi by Nige Rideout (github). This version features :

• Improved Z80 / CRTC timing so more games run more correctly.
• Improved Mode 2 rendering so it's a little better positioned 'compressed' on the DS screen.
• Improved default key mapping that maps Y button to Joystick Fire 2 (used by many homebrews).
• Another round of improvements for FDC handling of two-sided disks. Orion Prime no longer warns of disk issues, Batman Forever 3.5" loads.
• Fixed the sound mute handler so that there are less frequent pops/clicks when loading up new games.
• Improved auto-load detection - more disks load the correct file more often.
• Lots of small cleanups and commenting of the code.
